Charity Partners

RAMH are always looking for new ways to reach more people and with most of our referrals being for women, we see a partnership with Johnstone Burgh as a good opportunity to promote men's mental health. We're excited to be involved in some of club's great ideas for the new season such as the new men's group (Heads Up).

RAMH promotes recovery from mental ill health, and empowers people to build independent, fulfilled lives.

We offer a range of free, confidential services which provide:

  • Immediate support in crisis situations for residents aged 16 and over in Renfrewshire
  • Individualised care and practical support to people in their own homes
  • One to one counselling sessions with a qualified counsellor
  • Employability support to help individuals gain or maintain employment and/or volunteering opportunities
  • A range of social, creative, therapeutic, educational and physical activity groups
  • Support to family, friends, carers and the wider community through information and education

We are delighted to be partnering up with Johnstone Burgh FC for a second season. We are extremely grateful for all the support you have provided us this far.

Our Foodbank Charity grew out of partnership of local churches, working together to make sure no one in Renfrewshire goes hungry. From one Foodbank in Johnstone in 2012, we have grown to three distribution and two warehouse sites, providing vital services to households in crisis.

Coordinated by three staff members, Renfrewshire Foodbank brings people together to make a safety net for over 10,000 people who cannot afford to feed themselves or their family. As well as food we provide essential emotional support, a friendly environment, financial advice service and signposting to other support services for homelessness, domestic abuse and mental health.

We have the chance to reach people who have nowhere else to turn to. Renfrewshire Foodbank is a collection, processing and distribution network that includes education services, supermarkets, many local businesses and a team of over 100 volunteers.

Due to the kindness of our donors we can provide nutritionally balanced food parcels and well as money to contribute to the basic running costs.

HOW TO GET HELP

If you need help from our foodbank there are a few simple steps to follow.

THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IS TO GET A FOODBANK VOUCHER.

In order to provide the most appropriate help for the circumstances of your situation we work with local agencies. If they feel you are struggling to put food on the table, they will issue you with a foodbank voucher. The local agency can also provide long term support if needed to help address some of the issues behind the reasons for your crisis. Agencies we work with include: Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors, social services and some local charities.

  1. GET IN TOUCH WITH US.

If you call or email our foodbank we can talk through your situation and put you in touch with a relevant local agency. (info@renfrewshire.foodbank.org.uk or call 0300 102 2500)

  1. ARRANGE A VISIT OR A CALL TO THE REFERRAL AGENCY.

They will discuss your situation and supply you with a foodbank voucher where appropriate.

  1. BRING  YOUR FOODBANK VOUCHER TO YOUR NEAREST FOODBANK CENTRE.
